Enrollment Fee Waiver Policy

Fee Waiver Applications are only accepted by registering in person at our main office.

You must be a San Mateo County resident to apply for a fee waiver.

A Fee Waiver is valid for one school year and is limited to one class per semester.  This waiver does not cover materials and book fees.

CalWorks, WIA, Department of Rehabilitation:  Students receiving fee assistance from one of these agencies must submit a current agency contract/authorization at the time of enrollment.  This requirement is at the request of your Case Worker/Employment Specialist.  Contact your agency before coming to ROP to enroll.

 

 Fee Waiver Form

 

To be considered for a fee waiver students must present ONE document from each category below at the time of registration.

A.  Picture ID: bring one of the following ORIGINAL documents

  • Current California State Driver's License
  • Valid Passport or Consulate Issued Picture ID
  • Current California State ID Card
  • Current Military ID

B.  Proof of Residency: bring one of the following ORIGINAL documents

  • Current, valid vehicle registration
  • Current utility bill
  • Current Property Tax Bill
  • Current Homeowner's or Renter's Insurance Policy
  • Current bank statement
  • Current Lease/Rental Agreement

C.  Proof of Financial Need:  Bring one of the following:

  • General relief (GR): Current Medi-cal card or General Relief ID and current authorization letter
  • Food Stamps: EBT card and current authorization letter
  • Supplemental Security Income/Survivor Dependent-Social Security: Bring a current letter authorizing benefits or your SSI/SSDI Information sheet.
  • Current/Former Foster Youth (age 18 - 24); Written referral from Children and Family Services
  • Pell Grant: Proof of Authorization for the current school year
  • Board of Governor's Grant: Proof of Authorization for the current school year.
